The Beach Belongs With Good Friends

Roshini and her boys, Randy and her kids, Maria S. & Debbie and I all piled in two mini vans and headed down to the beach last month. Well... we started out in two mini vans and ended up in my car then. Let's just say the beginning of our trip was more eventful than the end. Bob, Isaac, & James met us down at the beach then for supper then later. From all the pictures I took you would think there was almost nobody down there except Jude. Hehe, but everybody had lots of fun. I'll let the pictures tell the stories. I couldn't help but put lots of pics so keep scrolling... : )

Shrieking "Come back Jude! Come back you little Judah Ben!"

I love this kid! : D

Debbie wrote Mark's name in the sand and I was going to take a pic of him next to it, but he didn't feel like it an began to run away. He then tripped an fell (he was ok) an I got this shot.

Aaahhh! I want...

Ah, now I have a fry. Life is all good now...

While Jude was mostly happy to stick to the sand and chase every single sea gull he could find, Mark Loved jumping in the water!

I found you!

Sand definitely does NOT taste good!

Black Is Back

I couldn't hack that flower back round anymore. It made the pics go off center. At least every time I looked at it. Did it do that for anyone else? I had to switch templates not just back rounds, an I found that I couldn't find anything else at the current time besides the black that I really liked for me. So... Black is back, and I like it. : ) More posts with pics later.

While "Mommy" Was Gone...

One evening while Roshini was in India, James, Mark, & Jude came over. We ended up taking a walk down our street to our pond to feed the ducks, and were very surprised to find thousands of craw fish! They were huge! After doing some research when we got back they are actually the Louisiana Craw fish and we plan to make a meal out of them sometime. The next several posts are going to be mostly picture blogs as it takes longer to write an LOTS has happened recently and I don't have the luxury of all that time to write 20 posts. Well.... maybe not 20, but anyways. Enjoy the pics. : ) P.S. We never did get to feed the ducks cause they all just swam away...

Pics of our pond. I think it is beeeeautiful!

Dover Days!!!

At 6:00 a.m. the day is already feeling like it's gonna be a scorcher. We loaded up and drove out to Legislative Ave. where we were going to be selling funnel cakes for a fund raiser. We got a bit of time to relax (amid uh, electric problems!)  before the main crowd walked over after the parade. The smell of hot grease and food was in the air, and the sound of generators was deafening. Welcome to... Dover Days! It did indeed turn out to be quite a hot day, but we drank plenty of water and beat the heat with some uh, lemonade from the vendors across the street? : ) There were food vendors lining the entire street and almost all of them somehow seemed to be selling funnel cakes! We stayed busy most of the day however, and by the end it turned out to be quite a profitable day in $ and in fun. : )

They had camels there for riding.

And this poor baby was three weeks old and kept crying. : (

 Yum!!!

 Taking a break...

What In The Wild?

A few weeks ago, Activity Club took a trip to the Washington Zoo. We hadn't gotten more than half way there when our van load of girls started with the "I'm Hungry!'s". Isaac & I had the younger group of girls and were then joined by Christina. Needless to say, we had lots of fun. We unfortunately didn't get to see the lions or tigers OR bears, but we did get to see some flamingos. They were a big hit as you can well imagine. : ) The monkeys were also quite cool. We watched/heard Pink Panther the entire way there and back. I rather liked that movie. No words, just cool music. We stopped at McDonald's on the way home to get something to eat instead of overheated ham sandwiches, and to get the girls their promised treat. Nobody in there could speak proper English and they kept messing up ours as well as other people's ice cream orders so we came away with two free ice creams. : ) Thanks to everyone for a super fun day!

Isaac carried quite the load for a bit...

An elephant's yawn is as long as they are big. This guy had yawned for like a whole minute!

Try clipp'n them nails....

What?! would posses you to want to sleep on one foot???

 AAAAAAAH!!!!

Our group... minus Phil, who wouldn't get out of the pic.

Our crazy girls : )

Getting ready to head home.
