Excerpts from an article written by Aksel Smith for Hidden Treasures 1980. I need to read this again and again and again...
"Every man has enough to do with what God wants him to do and everybody can do what God wants him to do - for he has sufficient time for it - but never a second to waste."
"Never dream about great things, for whatever you might dream about as something great is really nothing. The greatest thing is to carry out God's commandment in the present moment; there is nothing greater."
"Do not blindly stare at the end result that is before your inner eye, for then you will not be able to see the demands of the present moment lying at hand. Fulfill God's will in the present moment., and you will be amazed at the result when God reveals it - for your eye cannot measure God's goal with your life."
"Forget time; forget the past and dream not about the future; enter into the eternal presence before God's face. There is the fullness of time for every work. There God will reveal to you what you are to do at the right time and in the right place. For He knows the right time and the right place. Therefore work in complete harmony with Him."
"He who is hasty is like the one who is too late, because both do their works outside of God's time."
"He who has wholeheartedly chosen Jesus, as Lord does not have time for anything but to do His will. God's grace is sufficient for the smallest details, and through them for the great whole."

Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Pirates Life For Me!
For our fall party this year we had a nautical theme, but with the amount of pirates we had there it may as well have been a pirate one. : ) Was super cool to see everyone's costumes. Some were most creative. The traditional hay ride this year even got turned into a ship. As we "sailed" down the roads, our ship was attacked by BAD pirates who stole the treasure chest! I will say they didn't get it without a fight though! : ) The treasure chest then had to be found by all the kids in a real "treasure" hunt later in the day. Anybody care to guess what was inside? : ) Teresa posted pics on her blog as well so if you want to see some more, check there. We had a grand time, didn't we mateys?! Argh!
I just loved his moustache
A grumpy little pirate! Lol Even Mermaids can throw harpoons. : )

Cuties!
A few weeks ago the youth girls got together to have a cook out and play volleyball at Verba and Jenn's. Kris brought Madison and Maia and they liked hanging out with the big "kids". : ) Madi was being swung in sheet and then would pop up with the a look of sheer glee on her face and say "Here I am!" So cute!

I became.... Maria Sacra! I can't believe it's been a whole year. It seems like maybe uh... 6 months or something. I am so thankful, happy, glad, etc etc etc... to be married to my best friend in the world! I loved being single, but I love being married even more. : ) Funny how things and ideas can change, and that no matter what happens, we can be sure that God has His hand in everything. Here's to the future! Isaac, thanks for everything you do. I love you!
A year later, I don't think we really look too much different... Do you?

Down By The Water Front Sittin' On The Pier...
There were some AC kids with their fish'n gear... : ) And crabbing... I don't think anybody caught anything really worth keeping but we had fun anyways.
Everybody looks slightly either confused or just waiting...
Mom & Dad
The fingernail moon
The crab traps were ALL knotted up.
Activity Day @ Victory
A day late and a dollar short, but here are some pics of Activity Day at Victory. I may or may not post some of the OC. It is tough just to pick a couple pics to post. : ) I should just get some sort of album to stick them all in I suppose, but it seems I barely have time to post anything anyways so wonder how much good it would do. You never know though... I'll let the pictures say what an awesome time we had. : )
A funny pet rock : )
The kids had a blast with the spin art. Think Isaac did too... ; )
Decorating a rucksack
Doll house village. This wasn't our station, but I thought it was pretty cool.
James helped me for a bit with the bubble station. (yes, her hand is actually inside the bubble) I love bubbles!
Katie was the big bubble making pro! I think she ended up making the biggest one of all.

Local OC
We had our local Outdoor Challenge last month at Vernon's farm. The teams had to find/figure out riddles, NOT drink the "poison", target shoot, rescue a hostage and swim him across the pond, and eat some delectable food choices... : ) I got to join in the fun by taking pics. Isaac labled my shirt as the Press Corps.
Your mission... should you choose to accept it...
Sniper!
CREW
Oh yummy!
Just concentrate.... to get this stuff down.
We picked up this painted turtle in the middle of the road on the way home.
