What In The Wild?

A few weeks ago, Activity Club took a trip to the Washington Zoo. We hadn't gotten more than half way there when our van load of girls started with the "I'm Hungry!'s". Isaac & I had the younger group of girls and were then joined by Christina. Needless to say, we had lots of fun. We unfortunately didn't get to see the lions or tigers OR bears, but we did get to see some flamingos. They were a big hit as you can well imagine. : ) The monkeys were also quite cool. We watched/heard Pink Panther the entire way there and back. I rather liked that movie. No words, just cool music. We stopped at McDonald's on the way home to get something to eat instead of overheated ham sandwiches, and to get the girls their promised treat. Nobody in there could speak proper English and they kept messing up ours as well as other people's ice cream orders so we came away with two free ice creams. : ) Thanks to everyone for a super fun day!

Isaac carried quite the load for a bit...

An elephant's yawn is as long as they are big. This guy had yawned for like a whole minute!

Try clipp'n them nails....

What?! would posses you to want to sleep on one foot???

Easter

Since almost all my family was in TN over Easter, Isaac and I went to his parents for Easter dinner/afternoon. Was really nice. I only have the one pic of Debbie and Jude, who konked out poor guy. We went over to the meeting hall for the Easter egg hunt in the afternoon, and in the evening all the youth girls were invited over to Miller's house for a camp fire. Was kinda a different Easter, but a very, very nice and memorable one. At the campfire, we started making shadows on the barn wall with a flash light. The girls had a blast! My strong.... cough... arms never got tired.... ; )

Poor boy was tired : )

 Good Friends!

 Waiting patiently? to begin...

 I found an egg!

"The Boys"

"The Boys" as they are quite fondly called, (Madison and Maia are referred to as "The Girls") came over one day to play while mommy was out. These pics are actually from two different days, but it doesn't matter what the day is... we always have lots of fun. : ) I think I have some of the coolest (and cutest!) nephews and nieces in the whole world!

Washable!!! : )

Oh Yeah!

I Love Nugatti!!! (chocolate bread)

He went in the cage of his own free will. ; )

Jude was not to be seen with out George...

 He Loved my harmonica!

He was watching cartoons and trying to play at the same time.

Youth Feast Honorable

We had a youth feast in Feb. with an Oriental theme. We ordered in Chinese take out and all the tables were set on the ground so everybody sat on the floor. I wish I had pictures of it, but I was in the kitchen most of the time until they raised the tables so maybe someone else can show you Teresa. I think maybe Mel got some. The whole room looked very cool. We started off with food, and then had some edification, and then some games. Each table was a team and was competing against each other. Our team did pretty well on most of the competitions. Was a very cool evening, with some quite good costumes. Once again wish I had more pics… oh well, que sera sera. Enjoy the ones I did get.

Paul was our byggmeister...

The cards were brand new and extremely slippery and this was our structure for the part of the competition to see whose could hold the most weight.

Ours actually held up quite admirably: )

This one however took the cake... or should we say "ice cream"

We had to suspend the two forks using only a tooth pick...and they couldn't touch the glass. Our team won because we were the only team to succeed, even though it was done incorrectly.

This is how it was supposed to be done. Makes no sense at all how this works...
